Please note: On-line registrations close on Thursday 6 October at 4pm.
Once you have registered on-line, please collect your entry wristband from any of the locations below on Thursday 6 October or Friday 7 October. Please take your e-mail confirmation form when picking up your wristband to confirm your registration. You MUST be wearing a wristband to participate in the event.
On the day registration (available from 8.30am to 9.45am)
Pre-event Race Number Pick-up
You will be able to collect your entry wrist band for each of your participants on Thursday 6 October and Friday 7 October from one of the venues below at the specified time. If you collect your registration on either of these days, you will not be required to register on the day; however you must still attend the race briefing at 9.50am.
Thursday 6 October:
McAlpines Mega Mitre 10 Sports Centre – Rangiora – 5 - 8pm
Sport Canterbury office – Unit B, 1 Brynley Street, Hornby – 9am - 5pm
The Athletes Foot Papanui (Northlands Shopping Centre, 55 Main North Road) 5pm - 9pm
Friday 7 October:
McAlpines Mega Mitre 10 Sports Centre – Rangiora – 12pm - 6pm
Sport Canterbury office – Unit B, 1 Brynley Street, Hornby – 9am - 4pm
The Athletes Foot Papanui (Northlands Shopping Centre, 55 Main North Road) 4pm - 8pm
Outside of these times you will need to collect your entry wristband on the day from the registration area between 8.30 - 9.45am. All participants must wear their wristband. Picking this up prior to the day will avoid registration congestion.
Fun and Entertainment
Make it a fun day out for the whole family. Soak up the event atmosphere with music and entertainment for the children.You can enjoy on-site food and drink vendors or pack your own picnic basket.
The Green Prescription Team at Sport Canterbury have put together a six-week training programme to use for both walking and running the 6km and 11km distances.
Please note this six-week training programme is to be used as a guide only. Everyone starting out will have varying levels of fitness abilities, so listen to your body and seek expert advice if you are unsure of anything training related.
Location and Parking
Pegasus is located 30 kilometres north of Christchurch on a stretch of the pristine coastline of Pegasus Bay. Parking will be available near to Pegasus Lake in designated areas. Simply drive into Pegasus Town and follow the car marking signage and the marshals who will direct you. The carpark is off Whakatipu Street.
Food and Drinks
There will be food and drink vendors available at Pegasus on the day, as well as a delicious sausage sizzle from the local school. You are more than welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy with friends and family.
