Strength & Conditioning Coach - Canterbury Rugby Football Union

The Canterbury Rugby Football Union and the Crusaders Franchise aim to build on their positions as two of the leading and most respected rugby organisations in the world.

We are seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to train the Canterbury ITM Cup (National Provincial Championship) Team and Rugby Academy.

Reporting to the Rugby Academy Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the creation and implementation of individual strength and conditioning programmes, rehab/prehab patterns, recovery strategies, and will assist in the gathering of appropriate information to ensure that players present themselves to training and matches in the best possible condition. The role also involves supporting the Crusaders Strength and Conditioning Coach during the Super 15 campaign.

Skills and experience required includes:

  • A relevant qualification in sports science
  • Practical experience in planning and implementing rugby training programmes including player development and rehabilitation strategies
  • Experience in rugby injury and rehabilitation management
  • Experience in working with the development of youth
  • Outstanding organisation and communication skills

The Aquatic Supervisor is responsible for a Lifeguard team and will work with that team to ensure our customers maximise their enjoyment and safety at our pools.

You will be responsible for a team of lifeguards to enable an enjoyable swimming experience for our customers and to manage the pool environment to CCC and industry standards.

We are looking for a customer focussed, team player, who is able to deal with the wide range of situations Aquatic Supervisors encounter. Applicants must hold a current New Zealand National Pool Lifeguard Award, a Comprehensive First Aid Certificate, a recognised water treatment qualification is desirable.
