We have been busy at Sport Canterbury organising the Volunteer Coach of the Year awards. You can read about the major winners in our lead article of this edition. The awards are an opportunity to recognise the tremendous contribution that volunteers make at all levels of sport in our region.

Another big project on the go at the moment is the recently launched "Kiwisport" activity. National has advised that $82 million will go into New Zealand school sport over the next four years via schools and regional sports trusts to achieve more children playing sport, more opportunities and better skills. Read more in our feature article, and we will keep you informed about progress.
