One of the fantastic aspects of sport and physical activity is being able to take part at any age. Unfortunately many teenagers drift away from organised sport so in this issue we look at why it's important to tap into their ideas of how sport should be presented to them.
At the other end of the spectrum, Christchurch is preparing to host the South Island Masters Games – the oldest competitors are in their mid-80s so well done to them and everyone else who has taken up the challenge of staying active.

Two Christchurch secondary schools have enjoyed bumper winters on the sporting scene. Marian College has wrapped up national football and hockey titles in tournaments that featured much larger schools, while St Bede's College has cemented its place as the South Island's top rugby school.
