CoachCorp

CoachCorp is a partnership programme between sport and business that provides employees with more time to coach. The aim is to secure time from employers to enable their staff to undertake coaching in schools and clubs.

Through the CoachCorp Programme, companies contribute by allowing participating employees 2 to 4 hours per week flexitime or paid time off to be coaches, managers and officials at school and club level sport.

The Canterbury West Coast Sports Trust brokers a relationship with companies and employees of those companies are offered the chance to volunteer. When an employee registers for CoachCorp with the Canterbury West Coast Sports Trust, they either designate a school or club they want to coach or are linked in with a school or club that has been identified as having a coaching need in the particular sport the coach has expertise in.

The coach receives professional development support from their respective Regional Sporting Organisation (eg. Canterbury Cricket). The school or club is required to support the coach as they would any other volunteer coach.
