Norm Withers - Mayoral Representive of Christchurch City Council
Norm is Christchurch City Deputy Mayor and a Councillor representing the Shirley/Papanui Ward. He has a strong interest in sport, having played football for Canterbury and cricket at senior club level. He also had a heavy involvement in boxing, managing NZ Boxing Teams over the years.
Jeff Morrison - Mayoral Representive of Timaru, Waimate & Mackenzie Councils
Jeff comes from a business and retail background.Involved for many years in playing hockey, skiing and sailing, Jeff has represented NZ at Yachting, competing in seven Flying Fifteen World Championships.Currently a 'Sports Dad' to 3 young children, Jeff finds that coaching and administration is playing a greater part in his life.
Paul McFadzien - Elected
Paul comes from an education background, having taught at various secondary schools over the last thirty years. At present he is a Deputy Principal.
He has represented New Zealand at squash and has been involved in coaching since 1980. Paul has wider interests in hockey, athletics, cross country and golf.
Cathy Robinson - Elected
Cathy is a clinical exercise physiologist with more than 20 years experience working in the health and physical activity industry. Cathy currently works for the Ministry of Health and she is a former Physical Activity Manager for the Trust. Physical activity interests include running and climbing.
Andrea Forrest - Mayoral Representive of Grey & Westland Council
Andrea comes from a background in taxation, management and tourism with more recent interests in the voluntary sector of mediation, restorative justice, sports administration and as a Justice of the Peace.
Andrea’s physical activity interests include hockey, cycling and yoga.
Gerry Dwyer - Elected
Gerry is a partner in Christchurch law firm Clark Boyce. He is highly regarded in rowing circles and he is a life member of the Caterbury Rowing Association. Gerry also serves on the board of NZ Rowing and currently acts as NZ Rowing's Ombudsman.
Ian Sawers - Elected
Ian comes from an education background. Currently Deputy Principal Mt Hutt College. He has strong interests in many sports including rugby refereeing/referee coach to a national level, NZ Secondary Schools Rugby Council, Methven Cricket Club life member. Ian enjoys recreational cycling, golf and a morning run.
